Aryna Sabalenka
Sabalenka is a Belarussian born in Minsk. Sergey Sabalenka (d. 2019) is her father who plays hockey. Aryna Sabalenka was born in Minsk 5 May 1998. She holds 12 WTA titles in her career, including that of the Grand Slam of 2023 Australian Open. Doubles is another sport where she is a pro. In the US Open 2019, and Australian Open 2021, US Open 2019, and Australian Open 2021 were both played by Elise Mertens. With the Belgian tennis star, she also won the WTA 1000 in Indian Wells and Miami in the year 2019, making an appearance in the Sunshine Double. Only four women's pairs have achieved this achievement. Her ranking went from second to third place in the World Singles Rankings on 23 August 2021. The highest ranking she achieved was achieved again in January 2023. However, in doubles she climbed to the number one spot following her win in Melbourne that following year. Dmitry Tursunov (a former Russian tennis player) coached her for part of 2019 in 2018 and through the close of the season. Dieter Kindlmann also served as her short-term coach from August to September of 2020. Antonio Dubrov is her coach, and has been since the beginning of 2020. Serena Williams & Maria Sharapova have been her inspirations.
